Saturday. One of my favorite days of the week. Love that I have no schedule, no agenda! Hoping you all are getting to do something that takes you away from your regular routine too! For me, mine is junkin’. I need nothing. Absolutely nothing. And, I mean it. I do it because it takes my mind far away from work and over-processing thoughts. Truly, I can stop tomorrow and be fine but then I would need to take up jogging or something and like, who wants to do that?? Lol! I do it too, because I rarely treat myself to anything like a movie or a frivolous shopping trip. So that is my story…well the short version anyway. Someday I will share the longer version, though many might say all my stories are the long version…ugg! Anyway, here’s some pics of my finds. Some are diamonds in the rough. Others are waiting to be joined with the “collection”. Tell me what you think, what memories come back to you, and which ones you just don’t get. I’ll do my best to explain them away :).
I think I’m a “vintage” 50’s girl…well actually my birth year is at the tail end of it so I’m entitled, right??
This mug made me laugh! It’s made in Japan. What you can’t really see is the “old man” is sitting down on the job while the “old wifey” is doing all the work…hmmm.
I love, love and LOVE pyrex with the aqua print! Major collector though I’m not quite a hoarder yet…
And this pic is for you Paula! Have you ever seen these? Had to have them. Love the color of the box too!
And I love vintage earrings. These were quite expensive…25 cents a pair. And the bunny pin, she was 50 cents. Break the bank, please!
Love the rose painting on this sugar dish. Super pretty. Bought for inspiration and because it was $1.00 :).
So there. I have more to show you but unfortunately they are gifts for my sweet friends, many of whom read this blog so it will have to wait. I will say two words about one of the items though….”Pottery Barn”. Done.
Happy Saturday! Would love to hear what you’ve been up to!
