Hi friends! Today I’m participating in the Spellbinders and CardMakers Blog Hop and wow, what a hop it is! Glad to have you join me here. So many great ideas using some fabulous dies. Have I mentioned there is a big giveaway? More info is located at the bottom of this post. AND, if you leave a comment here on my post you will be entered to WIN the kit I am featuring here today!! You will definitely want to take advantage of both! Anyway, getting back to the hop. This set is amazing and very versatile. The minute I saw it I knew exactly what I wanted to create. I am a big party planner, be it a kids party, wedding or baby shower. I love every aspect of a celebration, from the planning to the actual decorating. I chose to do a wedding invite for this collection and I went with the trendy color combination of blush, ivory and tan with hints of green.
All of these projects are fairly simple! In fact, the technique for most of them is exactly the same. It involves layering two colors of card stock. That’s it! Let’s take a look at the wedding invite. I printed it up already so it would fit inside the diamond shape. The size of the ivory paper was cut to 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″. I used a pale blush and a tan card stock for the die cut pieces. Once die cut, I layered them together. The easiest way to layer them is to mist the back side of the top piece with spray glue and adhere it to the underneath piece, leaving a tiny bit of the bottom card stock peeking out. I was going with the organic look and so I picked blush with tan but if you want to go elegant, try blush with gold card stock. Really classy.
The envelope was VERY easy. What I loved about the die was that the return address label could be made into sticker. Simply apply double-sided adhesive tape to the card stock or apply Xyron to the paper, then die-cut 2 of the embellishment pieces for each envelope. On a separate but identical-colored card stock, print the entire sheet of names and addresses. Trim the labels to fit the inside of the two embellishments. Peel back the sticker paper on all pieces and place on envelope back. How elegant and pretty is that?
Again, I die-cut two pieces of coordinating card stock with the same die and layered them together and laid them across the response card, having adhered them to ribbon first. I secured the ribbon under the bow that I attach in the front. This allows the card to slip out easily for reading.
How pretty is this thank you card? Just a nice sentiment on the front and again, the layered dies, adhered together and attached to the underside of the card front.
Finally, the table assignment card. Simply created by printing the name on a piece of card stock, folding over the top and attaching the die-cut design. I embellished it with the flower.
So many ways to create with this die set. If you are interested in purchasing this kit, it is part of a monthly subscription. You can go here to find out more and to sign up.
