Well, I was not so sure I was going to hit the garage sale road this morning. With my car in the shop, and the $$’s involved in that, I figured I should just stay home. Sure glad I managed to find some change and went out anyway! However, the first thing I should have done was check my wardrobe. I have lots of tips for garage saling and the first is NEVER dress nicely. This morning I forgot and wore Tom’s (though not fancy, they are pricey) and sellers definitely look the whole person over. In addition, I brought my Fossil purse with me that my girls had bought me for my birthday. (Purses are def. an extravagance for me). OK, so that was mistake number two. Some of the sales weren’t such great “deals” and when someone mentioned they liked my shoes, the light bulb went on… uh, yeah! So my advice to you all, wear old shoes and take an insignificant purse. Anyway, my day ended up really well. I purchased a pink and white mixing bowl set sometime ago that had some of the bowls missing. My friend purchased me one of the white bowls 🙂 last year. Now all I was missing was my larger white bowl. Well today was the day that I found the treasure…and that is what keeps me going to garage sales. Got the last bowl for a whole 3 dollars! Good day!
