This past Saturday I was in California for the weekend and had the opportunity to teach my mom, aunt and their friends how to make tissue & crepe paper flowers. Actually, they asked me to show them how. They all are involved in the Elks Lodge and Meals on Wheels so I know their flower making skills will come in handy. One of their friends brought her triplet, 9 year old grand nieces so I literally had a class from 9 to 83 year olds! I can honestly say I laughed through most of the “senior” conversations, which consisted of penuchle, pimento cheese sandwiches and tattooed eyebrows. For real! Can’t make this stuff up! Just in case you are wondering, my mom and aunt really got their eye brows tattooed. My aunt even got her eyes lined. I’ll pass on that! Anyway, it was really fun to have everyone creating. And you know, the little girls did an amazing job too! Here are a few pics from that day.
These girls were sooo sweet and stayed quite focused.
Of course, they loved the polka dot paper best :).
This was the triplets’ bouquet.
I really don’t know who enjoyed the day more…me or them!
