Let Me Introduce You…

17 Feb

Hi Everyone,

Back in the craft room creating yet again and perhaps one of my favorite things to do!  As mentioned last week,  I am revealing my spin on a different designer at Spellbinders each week.  Today I am showcasing Stacey Caron Designs created by the founder of the company, Stacey Caron.  Now Stacey’s line is classy and elegant.  In fact, she named her line Art Deco because it has the sophisticated look so indicative of the 20’s.  I was fortunate to work on creating projects with that style in mind several months back but today I want to show you how you can take this look and make it into a shabby chic style.  Again, this is my twist and my style but I think that you can take any of the Spellbinders dies and make them into your look and feel.  This particular approach is my place of comfort.  I think I’m probably a country girl at heart, though I have never lived in the country.  So here is the card I created using 3 dies.  Does it still look Art Deco?

Here is a picture of the dies used…
These can all be found in the Art Deco line. The border die is the Arched Diamond and the other two are from Astoria Decorative Accent (made to look like a flower) and Savoy Decorative accent.
And there you have it.  The shabby chic form of design.  What do you think?  Thanks for checking in.
XO,
Debi
