A Beautiful Southern California Day…

26 Mar

Well I started this blog post yesterday and had quite a bit to say but then TODAY happened and it was so big I had to share it with you.  I will share yesterday’s news next week :).  Sorry to put ya’ll on hold.

My daughter,  Alyssa and I went out garage/estate sale shopping today.  (Pretty typical for me but not so much for her anymore.)  Anyway, we did some Easter shopping and then decided to hit up this one estate sale that was at the top of the hills in a very exclusive area of Anaheim Hills.  It was a second day sale and I wasn’t sure what we would find.  Honestly,  I don’t know if I have seen so much stuff in one VERY lovely home!  The view was spectacular and if I hadn’t found a single thing, I would have been just as happy as the area, as well as the weather, was beautiful!  This is a pic looking out from this house. The view was of Irvine Park and surrounding area.  Wow, right?

I can’t tell you how many rooms there were to this house.  Some of the doors were actually closed off but every room we went into was covered with “stuff”.   Sorry, some of the pictures are blurry.  I didn’t want too look obnoxious so I took them rather quickly!
Three garages were packed with clothing and glassware and the backyard was FILLED to the brim with many fine things…
And here’s a first. I encountered this gentleman with at least 5 parrots on his back, shoulders and arms.
A beautiful hobnail, milk glass, fenton vase/bowl I admired.  The price was really great but alas, no where to put it! I have loved this piece for a very long time!
And finally, here are my treasures..  I love the pink tray because my sweet friend, Tammy Tutterow gave me the canister that matches it after CHA! I think everything in this first picture came to $18.50. I can’t wait to show you what I am going to do with it all.  And no, they will not be going under my bed. Lol!
I came back a few hours later for round 2 and found these.  Now I will say, I bought a few things for my friends :). That’s my story.
Have you ever seen olive green dominos?  Not I! Bought them for my friend Michelle.  $2.00.  I love shopping for others!;).  (I know, it feeds the addiction.)

So I think I know what the Easter Bunny brought me and I might say, he/she has great taste, at least for my liking :).  And that’s the end :).
Wishing you all a blessed Easter filled with hope and joy!
XO,
Debi
