Monday’s Motivation

7 Mar

Wow!  Can’t believe another Monday has rolled round.  Last week was crazy but a lot of fun.  Back here again and ready to showcase another card trio.  All three cards were made using my “Beauty & Elegance” stamp and die set from Spellbinders.  Here is how they all line up….

First up is for the newbie stamper/crafter.  I only showcased black and white to show the simplicity of this set. It looks classic and elegant. The polka dots were created with the eraser of a pencil and a black ink pad.  For the supplies, I used a card base, pencil with new eraser, black ink pad, ribbon and pop-dots (for raising the images off the card).  That’s it for making this super quick card.

The next card is a little more labor intensive but only because of the watercoloring.  The background was stamped using the “beauty” sentiment.  I added a patterned paper to break up the background a bit.  I then layered the stamped and die-cut oval, swan and flowers using pop-dots. (Pop-dots are one of my favorite products to use and I rarely create without them.) Watercolors and a watercolor brush were used to enhance the designs but you certainly could use markers.  Finally, the entire card was wrapped with a ribbon.

The most complex of the cards is featured here. It is not really difficult but definitely a lot more products were used.  Two different patterned papers were placed together and adhered in place.  I actually added a pinkish-purple watercolor wash to the white part of the patterned paper.  I like to tie all my colors together and this particular paper did not have that bright lavender I needed so I created it myself :).   I tied a hand-dyed ribbon using distress ink to the base.  A vintage pipe cleaner, lily of the valley flowers and decorative pins were adhered to the base.   Finishing off the card, I used the stamped images that had been die-cut and watercolored them.
So here they all are…

Hope you enjoyed the projects featured here today.  So, where are you in creating? Are you a newbie or a seasoned stamper?

XO
