Although I have been in Phoenix now for nearly a year and a half, you would have thought I would have had my place all decorated by now but with my work schedule, I have had no time to get it all together. However, this weekend my friend (ok, more like my boss…lol!) came over and hung my drapes and my old map and wow, is my apartment beginning to feel like a home. What I actually really love is this decorative wall piece (or rather ceiling piece) that I created from doilies, embroidery hoops and a dead cholla branch. I think it kind of embraces that whole 60’s era I seem to love. Heck, I think I love all eras of art. Truthfully, my house is one eclectic mess because I can’t seem to stay with just one artist style. I guess I’m A.A.D.D. Artistic. Attention. Deficit. Disorder. In other words, I can’t make up my mind. :-).
So here is what it looks like. Of course, I collected all the doilies from garage and estate sales. Actually, everything that is shown was purchased that way…hoops and cactus too! And the string…I got that at a garage sale as well.
So here is what my place looks like so far. Getting there. Want a few floating shelves above t.v. I love the light my place has. Happy to hang my hat here :).
XO,
Debi
