Well last Friday and Saturday I had some mighty fine treasure hunting. Friday I hit up the Goodwill stores to see what might be available for Saturday’s half price sale and ended up buying a few things because I simply couldn’t wait and the prices were just so good! Now, in all fairness the big serving dish was purchased for a friend. And the tablecloth, my bad! My collection has grown to epic proportions. No surprise here. Maybe having a sale in the near future.
Also got these adorable vintage Christmas Carolers candles. Sweet faces. They came home with me!
On Saturday I drove into downtown Phoenix to an estate sale and came up with these few treasures. Interesting sale, interesting merchandise, interesting home, and interesting people. I ALWAYS see and learn a lot at these sales. Quite fascinating actually. I think the quirkiest one was the sale where a tree kind of started growing in one of the bedrooms. Can’t make this stuff up. This sale wasn’t quite that odd but I did have to stoop my head to get into the door and I am short. Anyway, I got the flowers and the hob nail fruit bowl for a total of $3.00. The beaded flowers are old, in a silver vase and are collectable.
Then I got the globe, candle carolers, vintage glass ice bucket (that just so happens to match the vintage glasses I bought my daughter a while back) at Goodwill on Saturday on the half price day :). Yes, the globe. Snagged it for $3.00! What. a. deal! Good stuff.
Not a bad weekend. It’s getting hot out there though (over 100). I may have to start looking more into Goodwill sales until fall hits. Aw, boo for me ;). Guess I will finally have to start working on all of those recycle projects from the sales I hit earlier. #procrastinator
