Can’t believe how fast Monday’s come back around. Really had a productive weekend and I am not ready to go back to work because I still have a few things to check off my “to-do” list. Oh well, I GET to do what I love so I am fortunate! I’m bringing you two simple cards today that showcase my daisy die. The versatility of this die cannot be understated. Although the design was created to make dimensional flowers, it can also be used to create cards. This first card is a bit more labor-intense than the latter one, merely because I die-cut several flowers out and watercolored them, but it is still easy. I love this color combination. So fresh.
Although I watercolored the flowers in the background, you could easily use markers or even colored pencils. I used the daisy die, this Frame of Mind sentiment stamp and this leaf stamp, all found at Spellbinders.
Since this post is all about simplicity, I recreated this card so that a beginner could try it. I used a piece of patterned paper for the background, a solid mat (navy blue) and then stamped the sentiment with navy ink onto this tag. I completed the card by watercoloring the daisy flower, the hydrangea floret, and the leaf and then attached them onto this tag. Easy peasy. And that, my friends, is my Monday project. Hope you enjoyed it .
XO,
Debi
