So last week I didn’t get to post my findings and I was actually surprised with the holiday, I found anything at all. I persevered and was not disappointed! It truly pays to read the ads, craigslist, yard sales app and estate sales.com. I found this one on Friday at a garage sale that was so good, I had to go back to it again on Saturday. Such great treasures but only partially unloaded on Friday. And then on Monday, Goodwill was open and no one was checking it out. I pretty much was doing the happy dance to my car. So now it’s time for show n tell. Obviously you can see what I got at the first sale. I finally got my first piece of jadeite. Been wanting a piece for a while and this was a platter…$4.00. Steal! Of course a bazillion hankies is never enough when you find some beauties like these. And then the vintage linens…don’t go there. I just loved them.
And speaking of LOVE…What is it with owls and me? Honestly, I never intended to collect them. EVER. But those sweet eyes are just so darn endearing. They were only $5.00. OY!
And this, this by far is my biggest sickness, or eye candy…every. time. I have seven tubs. SEVEN. But this whole tub was only $5.00 and I thought I would share :). Please don’t count. Or judge.
Pyrex. Aqua pyrex. My one true love…lol. I have been collecting them for years. Just the aqua, well ok, the pink too. Ssssh! Don’t tell my kids. These are called refrigerator dishes because of the lid on the top. All three were seated so nicely on the shelf at Goodwill (eye level, no less) ready for me to pluck them up. You rarely see them there. Usually someone has already snagged them. They were quite the treasure at $1.99 for the two littles and $2.99 for the big.
If you add up all I spent that whole weekend, it came to $17.00. My entertainment…priceless!
XO,
Debi
