Hi everyone! Hope you all had a great Labor Day weekend doing what you love. Don’t you wish we always had three day weekends? Truth is, if we had them, we would wish we had four day weekends and so on. Lol! So for today, I’m just happy I got another day off though I always create whether it’s my job or not. It’s just my passion. Last week I did not get to post this but today is the day! I finally get to show you a quick and easy necklace to make. Later this week, I will change up this necklace so that you can see another way to add detail to it.
You will need the following:
a small piece of leather-approximately 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2″
a gold necklace
two gold jump rings
small tassels (found at local craft store) “Crop a dile”, see online),
Simply Said – alphabet set
First Place- contour die.
Platinum Machine-found here
You will need to die cut the leather using the circle on the First Place die.
Now here is the trick! Mist the leather with a bit of water and then place the selected monogram face down on the leather and run it through the Platinum machine. The water softens the leather enough to allow the monogram to leave a good impression!
Punch small holes in the top and bottom of the leather piece and then attach the tassel to the bottom of the circle. Use a gold chain to go through the top jump ring.
That’s all there is to it! Well jump on in. We got some making to do!
XO,
Debi
