Today I decided to feature a twist on the fall season by showcasing a color combination I plan on using for my own tablescape. I am all about colors and it’s where I love pushing the envelope. This particular collection is so classy and works well for fall. Neutrals like beige, white, cream, brown, taupe and gray really accentuate the aqua. And, can you ever go wrong with aqua? Ever? My favorite color. Love how the rusty-orange brings in a bit of the season and is a great contrast to the aqua.
To create this card, I adhered a piece of sheet music to a 5″ x 7″ card front. This is inserted into a kraft-colored envelope where the flap has been embossed with the Cheesecloth embossing folder by Tammy Tutterow for Spellbinders. Using a blending tool, I added some vintage photo ink to the envelope flap.
For the embellishments, I die-cut and embossed several leaves from my “I’ll Never Leaf You” die found here from Spellbinders in various colors of card stock. I then went back and used a gold pen to add details and a white chalk pen to add the sentiment. The leaves were glued down and a bow tied at the top of the card. Adding some millinery flowers, burnished buttons and string brought in more details. Finally, I removed the glass from my vintage frame and inserted the card and envelope into the window. No glass is necessary. I think the colors are amazing. My source of inspiration was from those beautiful white pumpkins that have a gold sentiment written on them. So, what do you think? Could you change up your fall table to these colors? Would love to hear about your favorite fall decor tips.
XO,
Debi
