So today I am excited to bring you three projects using my new die and stamp collection called “Wild and Free” by Spellbinders. Although none of these dies or stamps were created with Christmas in mind, I certainly believe they can be translated that way. I noticed quite a few retail stores using pink and gold this season so I decided to create some projects to reflect that trend. The instructions for the card is listed below, with the others following within a day or two. Hope you enjoy!
To create the card shown in the top picture, you will need the following dies and supplies:
Supplies:
Pink Cardstock
Gold Poster Board
Gold Glittered Paper
Pink Ribbon
Adhesive
To get started, you will need to fold your card stock in half and line up the top cutting edge of the geometric heart outline die so that it extends OVER the fold line. This will prevent the paper from being cut on the fold and will insure a fold line at the top. Once in position, secure in place with repositionable tape and cut as usual.
Die-cut the geometric heart including the frame from gold poster board or paper. Attach to top of heart-shaped card.
Die-cut the leaves from glitter paper and attach to top edge of heart. Tie a pink bow over the top of the leaves. If using the “hello” sentiment, die-cut the word from gold poster board and adhere in place. Add embellishments if desired. ( I added pearl-head pins.)
Well that’s it. Geometrics are so trendy and I think look really cool for the holidays. What are your favorite holiday colors? Do you change themes every year or are you a traditionalist? Would love to hear your thoughts!
XO,
Debi
