I am so excited to announce that my creative space is featured in the latest copy of Where Women Create magazine on newsstands now! (It begins on page 22 but please read about all the other amazing women!) I was beyond thrilled that Jo Packham, Editor-in-Chief of WWC, was willing to showcase my little corner of the world. She is a kind soul who genuinely believes in lifting others up. I believe the same. I believe kindness matters, especially as we see things around us become hateful and hurtful. I believe we all have a presence, a place, a reason for being here and, there is room for everyone. Though this magazine features where women (and some men) create, I think it is more than that. For me personally, it is not about how pretty or not so pretty my room is, though I am more than happy to let you take a peek at my own artful hoarding. It’s not about the organization (or in some cases, the lack thereof…lol) or how many supplies I own. It’s certainly not about the knick knacks I collect or how I decorate the room, though these are things I love and they definitely inspire me. It’s all about the story behind the space. I believe it’s about the people who got me to this place. It’s about the life that I was given, the circumstances that changed my path and how all of it shaped me. Art, yes, that is my go-to place, where I rarely tire of its endless callings of “what-ifs”, “I have an idea” or just, “let’s play”. Though it is not my identity, art is my skill set, talent and most certainly, my happy place. I hope you will take a few moments to read the story. And if you are my dear, sweet friends who continually breathe encouragement into me, especially when I feel less than adequate, or you purchased some of my creations over the years, this is for YOU. No one comes into his/her own without the support of others. So right now I want to say “thank you” to each one of you. This is as much your story as it is mine.

Thank you Seth. It is the honest, soul-bearing place where my art takes root. We all have a journey and I love the thought that we can all help each other along the way.
