Well I have spoken to a few art “insiders” that highly recommend I sell at Art Unraveled this August in Phoenix. And I am taking their advice. Good thing because all these “Friday Finds” and “Saturday’s Treasures” are beginning to encroach on my more important items, like art supplies…lol. The past two weekends have provided me with some unbelievable junk, um, let’s rephrase that. I have gotten some fabulous “keepsakes”. Well whatever. I love what I get to do on those days and I hit some major bargains, like I always say that, right? Because if it’s not a good deal, I simply don’t buy. I don’t need a thing. But all of these were DEALS. And I may or may not, I will never tell, skipped on my way out of the sales. Happy, happy girl. Anyway, the pics below show the story of my goodie finds. These were all from last weekend. I will post pics of the Memorial Weekend finds later this week. Too much stuff I tell you!
This rusty old thing…I can hardly pick it up! It is a beauty with all those drawers. I got plans I tell you!
And then there’s this stuff…and that old tire, yea, I may have been enticed or rather “influenced” by a mixed media artist friend of mine. Love it!
Who remembers Tinker Toys? I got three more of these but in the even “older” versions, again just this weekend.
Figured stamps are good ephemera. These are old and from all over the world.
Interesting reading…I’m sure there’s stuff in there we have all been missing and couldn’t survive without…
Always need more trim…not. I knew these would look fab in the tool chest so, yes, I had to buy them. And I collect pin cushions. Yes, I do that too!
And I collect millinery flowers. Really hard to locate these days.
And then I needed to replace the step stool that was taken because I needed it for?? Yea. Sick. That hat box, it screamed vintage. And checkered anything, pretty much comes home with me.
Have you ever??? Me either. Poodle cards. :). Go figure!
And these were from a few other places as well. The hat I simply fell head over heels in love with! That orange. Doesn’t match a thing. All the better. Who cares? And the butter dish, claiming that’s a gift for a special someone.
Two vintage tablecloths. Are you kidding me? Jump on in. Your “sisters” are waiting for you at home…all 50 or so of them. And pyrex is the apple of my eye. I know. I should be arrested and sent to hoarder’s jail.
Here is the grand collection in all its glory. Now you see what I’m talking about?
Aren’t you glad you stopped by? Yea, you probably still have money in your wallet, empty spaces in your home and a good laugh :). But I had two days out that were stress-free, without drama and priceless.
XO,
Debi
