Friends don’t let friends buy junk and by that I mean, bad junk. Now the good junk is another story. The rusty junk is the best and Saturday I found a pile of it. Actually it was advertised at a garage sale. The very end of the ad said “and a pile of rusty stuff”. I kid you not! Pretty sure I pulled a “Fred Flintstone” as I drove out of my complex ;). I was fortunate when i arrived because only one other person was there, but by the time I had left, there was a crowd. Ah, but I made off like a bandit! Take a peek…
The best of the best. And all this rusty stuff was $3.50. Right? Who could pass this up. Not Fred, not I. I loved the rusty book stand and the rusty half sized, unopened can. All of the stuff screams “mixed-media” art. Cannot. wait!
And these roller skates, pretty sure the song “I’ve got a brand new pair of roller skates” was going through my head…minus the “new”. I have been wanting a pair for a while. Great photo prop!
And I honestly don’t know why. Well actually I do. Impulse. And all my “rusty” tribe members would have loved to have purchased this. And actually, there was a line of people wanting this AFTER I bought it :). Ten dollars and a smile on my face. Can’t really put a price on that. It’s tall and I’m going to make a rusty topper for it and make a coffee table…or sell it at Junk in the Trunk. What do you think?
Oh Saturday! I love you so.
Have a great one and thanks for stopping by.
XO,
Debi
