Mermaid Fever

16 May

Ok, so I don’t normally post mid-week on my blog because I have a very full-time job but today is different because I played paper dolls with these cuties this past weekend and had to share.  In addition, here is my #tuesdaycardsandtags that I participate in every week.  (A “two-fer”).  I have to say I had an absolute blast creating them! Wouldn’t they make the most adorable party invites, decor pieces, or favors? Mermaids are very trendy along with ever so popular, unicorns.  Hmmm, that might be next week’s posting. Anyway I’m thinking I might have to teach a class with them. The part I love the most is the material used in the jelly fish and the mermaid’s fins. Can you guess what it is? Hint…you can find it at The Container Store. Pretty sure you can find it at a few other places too. The two boxes came from there as well.

How about a different way to wrap a gift or maybe a place card holder?

And this is a dimensional card, complete with a watercolored, ocean scene.

A shaker box with sequins inside is sure to grab anyone’s attention. It’s perfect for a birthday card or as a party favor.

So what do you think? Totes adorbs? Wish I could say I designed these dies  but I think they were a collaboration between Nicole DeFrank, Graphic Designer and Beth Reames, Art Director at Spellbinders. You can find the die set here. I did design the tropical leaves from my Wild and Free Collection and you can find them here.  Any which way you use these dies, you can’t fail. Bring on the unicorn!  I’m ready to create.

XO,

Debi

Too bad we don’t live next door to each other. We would get into so much trouble!
