It’s really nice to go junkin’ somewhere different. I have always wondered if the treasures would be similar, the prices higher or lower, and if the hours varied. While I took to junkin out of state, I discovered that most items were comparable, though I did happen to notice there were more antiques than I normally find in Phoenix. As far as the hours go, those too were about the same. Prices were always negotiable. I had a blast hitting the 400 mile garage sale in Kentucky with good friends. Here are a few pics of the hunting grounds there and some of the items that made me empty my pocketbook.
Just the beginning. The road “well”-traveled…
Displaying the wares along the highway. My favorite “junkyard” of the day. Many treasures, soooo many choices, too little time, a bit of heat…
And a whole lot of rust.
Here you go ’round and ’round. Shoulda, but I didn’t.
More is more and so on…as far as the eye can see.
My stash.
Bits and pieces.
Up close and personal.
The big score…
And just like that day was over. Honestly, I wanted to start all over again. I never wanted it to end. And today, I have the “if only” or “I wish I woulda’s” but I am happy with everything I got. And next week, I am on to a new state with fresh possibilities…Stay tuned.
XO,
Debi

Wow. What an adventure. You must have your own junkin GPS.
