A Ton of Jungle Fun

11 Jul

What’s this? A Tuesday Tutorial? Well, my good friend and fellow licensed designer, Tammy Tutterow, recently released some fun stencils  through StencilGirl that I couldn’t wait to get my hands on.  With my latest launch of “My Little Red Wagon” collection by Spellbinders, I felt this was the perfect time to show how well our two different lines work together.  So today I am doing a Tuesday tutorial on making this Ella-Fant card.

Here are the supplies you will need:

Spellbinders Platinum 6™ or Platinum™ Machine-PE-100 or PL-001
Tool ‘N One™ with Foam Applicator-T-001 and T-007
Ella-Fant Die:S4-782
Tropics Die Set:S4-676
Pierced Circles: SCD-009
Classic Hearts: S4-136-Smallest Heart only

White Cardstock
Green Cardstock of Your Choice
Gray Cardstock of Your Choice
Pink-Patterned Paper of Your Choice

Polka Dots Stencil by Tammy Tutterow for StencilGirl
Distress Ink-Hickory Smoke  by Tim Holtz
Foam Dots
Stamp Sentiment-(I typed mine)

Black Pen

White Pen

Create a card base 4 1/4″ X 5 1/2″.
Cut a piece of white card stock 3 3/4″ x 5″.

Use the polka dot stencil and apply ink with the Tool ‘N One foam applicator to the  3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of card stock .

Adhere polka dot paper to card base using foam dots.

Die-cut Circle and Circle with Stitch Lines from white card stock.

Adhere Circle to upper portion of card using foam dots.

Die-cut Ella-Fant and various Palm Leaves from gray and green paper.

Adhere some of Leaves to Circle.

Embellish Ella-Fant with pen, colored pencils and blending tool with distress ink (shading part). Assemble with foam dots. Adhere to Circle.

Add additional Tropical Leaves to area near Ella-Fant.

Type or stamp sentiment onto card stock. Trim to small tag size.

Adhere to card base.

Die-cut smallest Heart from patterned paper. Adhere to sentiment tag on card.

Well, that’s it. Pretty simple. And those polka dots, they make everything happy! Thanks Tammy for the stencil. It really completed the card.

XO,

Debi
