Hi everyone! I’ve been super busy as usual but I managed to create three new cards from my past collection, “Love, Set, Match” by Spellbinders. This is an all-occasion line perfect for anyone at any time. I loved putting punny sentiments into each stamp and die set so that the collection is complete in itself. Would love to hear what your favorite is!
Not much of a scientist here but loved this silly sentiment and had to do a collection around it. This stamp and die set is called “Reaction” and I think it has lots of possibilities.
I stamped the beaker in a soft gray ink (see supplies below) onto 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of white cardstock to create the background. I mounted it onto 4 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ gray cardstock, and adhered it to the 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card base. Three different colored, inked circles were adhered on top. I stamped and die-cut the beakers, colored them in and then attached them to the card with foam dots. I think they really bring focus to the card.
Fussy cutting the sentiment into a unique shape added emphasis to the “chemistry” style of the card. Part of the sentiment was stamped in white ink onto black cardstock, and the other was stamped in black ink onto white cardstock and colored. A sprinkling of clear Nuvo drops achieved the “bubbling” effect.
“Near or Far” was created with my daughter and her family in mind because they live in Michigan. I wanted to make a card that I could send them, indicating that no matter where they were, I was thinking of them.
I used the outline portion of the map die only on this card and “colored” the inside with fun paper. Kind of cool and unique. I chose to die cut the camper, cactus and heart to embellish the card as well.
My “Match Box” die and “Just Chillin” set work together so easily. Inspired by a gal in our office who always has some snarky things to say and, seeing some similar ideas on enameled pins, I made a plan and this was the result.
The Match Box die works with nearly all of the stamps and dies in this collection as well as my upcoming “The Perfect Match” collection. It makes a great party treat too! I die-cut and assembled the box from pink and white cardstock. I stamped the sentiment and the pills using white ink onto a piece of black cardstock that fit the top of the Match Box. I stamped and die-cut the pill using black ink onto white cardstock and colored it in with a pink marker and adhered it to the box lid with a foam dot. White Nuvo Drops embellished the lid. Of course I thought that Good ‘n Plenty candy was perfect for “pills”.
