Hi everyone! So glad you could join me on this amazing StencilGirl and etchall® blog hop. I am certain that between the entire design team crew, there is something that resonates with you. We have a great ***GIVEAWAY*** too, so don’t forget to scroll down and get the scoop! I hope YOU win!
If you have never attempted to play with etchall and stencils, you are in for a real treat. It is very easy to use and there are many different surfaces for application. I chose to create an art piece using a glass frame.
The frame was from one of my fav discount stores. I designed the piece of background art using alcohol inks on Yupo paper and put it behind the glass. The colors I chose were Patina (of course, because it’s my fav color), Raspberry, Sailboat Blue and a tiny bit of Lettuce. Using a blending tool and Alcohol Blending Solution made the inks do their magic!
I embellished the glass with etchall creme as directed on the manufacturer’s instructions. I selected stencils, Crackle by Nathalie Kalbach and Nosegay Flower by Cecilia Swatton.
I chose a modern frame…
I cut the stencil to fit the frame better since the glass was permanently adhered to the frame. I sprayed the back of the stencil with the adhesive and layer it in place, making sure it was firmly affixed by running the squeegee-type tool over the top. Pouring the creme over the top and smoothing it out was simple.I washed the stencil and frame off at the indicated time and then released the stencil itself from the frame, resulting in this.
Etching the design onto three different areas of the glass gave it a balanced look. You know what they say about three’s and odds. :).
I came back in with the flower stencil and applied the creme to it as well. I taped off the flowers that I didn’t want with repositionable painter’s tape.
I love these little flowers. I liked the fact that they didn’t take away from the surface below but rather pulled up the white.
Lastly I added the sentiment. My words for the year are “courage” and “intentional” and sometimes embracing those means you need to “heal”. I am going with that. You can find the Herbs stencil (word “heal”) by Jessica Sporn here.
And there you have it! Now that I am done, I have thought of a billion things to make with etchall creme and StencilGirl stencils but that is for another time and another post! Hang on though. Next on the hop is Tina Walker and I’m certain her creativity is off the charts! If you missed anyone, here is the complete list. You definitely won’t want to forget the giveaway either!

Debi
