My Monthly Hero Kit for December 2018-A Hero Arts Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY

3 Dec

Happy Monday everyone!  I’m back again to share another wonderful My Monthly Hero Kit  but for the month of December 2018.  What a magical set of stamps and coordinating dies! Not only are there a lot of images but I love the fact that there are a lot of sentiments to choose from as well.  Because this is the main kit for December, there are only a limited supply on hand.  Once they are gone, they are gone. And since this is a Blog Hop, it comes with a **GIVEAWAY*.  Scroll to the bottom to see how to enter!

I am a big fan of dandelions and so I created a fun little card that is big on wishes.

To create this card I used one 4 1/2 x 6 inch card and then cut a piece of card stock 5″ x 6″ and scored a 1/2″ in from the 5″ side. I creased it and it created a flap.   I  connected the two cards using the flap as the attachment.  I die-cut three windows from the first three card pages.  To make the windows exact, I  die-cut a rectangle from the first card front and then used it as  the sample and laid it against the second page, placed the die inside so that is was aligned and die-ccut the second window out.  I did the same thing for the third window but I used the second window for the sample.

Once the windows were cut, I die-cut three circles and stamped the sentiments in the center and attached them to the inside of each window, overlapping them a little bit.  I used markers to highlight the words on the sentiments.

Cotton Candy ink was sponged onto the last page to create a background for the windows.

I stamped and die-cut the Dandelion, Leaves and Ladybug using Intense Black ink onto  white cardstock and colored them in using markers.

I sponged Moss Hybrid ink onto the card base using a sponge dauber.

I added a 1/2″ strip of patterned paper to the bottom of all four pages.

The Dandelion, Leaves and Ladybug were attached to the card using foam dots and adhesive.

Lastly, I added small little dots with my black fine tip pigma pen and a white signo pen.

I love cards that have that little extra element and make them a little unique.  I am leaving you with all the supplies you will need to create my card. I can’t wait to see your spin on it!

XO,

Debi Adams
