Every now and then an opportunity comes along that is unexpected and so appreciated. As many of you know, I am kind of a jack of all trades when it comes to art and crafting. I love it all but better yet, I want to pass that love onto you. Last year Mary Beth Shaw, Artist, Designer and Owner of StencilGirl® approached me about teaching an online course showing how stencils and card making work together. I didn’t have to think twice about it. I love both stencils and making cards and felt like it was a perfect fit. It was such a great experience both in Mary Beth’s studio and with the amazing husband and wife videography team of Mike and Ang. I have a little introduction here so that you can see a bit about the course. The cost is quite reasonable considering that you are able to create nearly 10 different cards from this one video series and you can watch it at your own pace…forever. My favorite technique to share was how to embellish one sheet of paper to create almost everyone of the cards! It’s a great way to consume existing decorated paper, aka “scraps”, or create a new substrate, use your stash of stencils (or purchase some fun new ones) and, save money. (Btw, have you seen the cost of cards these days? ) Although I show you the basics and you can make your cards exactly (well pretty much) like mine, you can always apply your own style or twist to the card bases. If you are interested in purchasing this course, you can go here.
You can see some of the cards I created briefly in the video. Oh the things you can make and the journey you can take… You can do this…easily.

Debi
