Summer has gone by quickly and here we are with another *NEW* launch of My Monthly Hero Kit by Hero Arts, now for September with a Blog Hop and *Giveaway*. Lots of creative inspiration with this collection and so much variety! I couldn’t choose just one set to feature so I thought I would start off with something a little “summer-y” and work my way into fall. And don’t get me started about fall. It’s my favorite season! Before I jump right in with all my projects, I want you to know that I have complied all my information about the Blog Hop and Giveaway (you will want to enter!) at the bottom of my post as well as links to all products.
Although my projects feature add-ons, the My Monthly Kit is awesome as well. So many parts and pieces and definitely worth the $34.99.
With this set you get the following:
6″ x 8″ Clear Stamp Set
1 Peek-a boo Drawers Fancy Die
3 Fancy Dies
Bronze Silk Ink 0.5 fl. oz.
10 Bee & Key Charms
6 5.5″ x 8.5″ Sheets of Decorative Paper (Rich Copper, Urban Basilia Black, Wood Abachi Solid)
And a reminder that when this set is sold out, it is gone! The add-ons however, will be replenished.
****JUST ADDED****
Because this is the heart behind Hero Arts, coming from Hero Arts…
And finally, as we launch this kit, our hearts are heavy with the news out of the Bahamas, and our thoughts are with the East Coast of the United States as we all hope and pray the hurricane stays out to sea. For each September kit sold, $1 will be donated to help those impacted by the devastation and displacement caused by Hurricane Dorian.
Kindness. Every bit helps. And interestingly, it comes back to you. Thank you Hero Arts.
Now onto the projects..
I created this card using the new add-ons with a bit of the summer feel because time is running out! Well, not really because this card was created to be used year round but it definitely has that bright, fresh look.
I used the Cabinet Door Fancy die as an embossing image. (Complete instructions for all projects on my post are on the Hero Arts website.) The flowers and leaves were colored with Copic Markers and then I die-cut the Butterfly from the Curiosities Silhouette Fancy Dies in Dove White cardstock. I love the simplicity of that die.
My next card has the same design technique as the butterfly, however it repeats the main die, “Nautilus Fancy Die” and uses Arches Watercolor, 140lb., cold-pressed paper for the substrate. I stamped lots of different colors of ink on a piece of the watercolor paper and then misted it a bit to create the many colors and shapes that you see inside the seashell. Then I die cut the solid image from that created background. The actual card background paper was watercolored using Daniel Smith’s Watercolor Dot Palette. After it dried, I again made an embossed image from the detailed, seashell portion of the die using a rubber mat and embossing plate with my Platinum machine.
Lots of fun with this one.
Transitioning into fall, I created this wreath from the Autumn Wreath and Frame Cuts sets. I love everything about this stamp and die set! With a little imagination, it could actually work for spring too!
And how adorable are those mushrooms? I’m thinking I could make some cute mini-note cards with them. What do you say? With school back in session, seems like a good time to start creating again!
Next up is Emily Midgett. Bet she has been busy in her workshop making some crazy cool stuff! If you missed anyone on the Blog Hop trail, just click on the link below. Don’t forget to leave a comment on the blogs to be entered into the giveaway!

WOW WOW WOW, each card I saw, I thought, oooooh, I love that one. NICE!!
Your cards are all so great. I especially like the wreath card. Leaving the wreath blank is cool.
These are all gorgeous cards, but my favorite is the one with the shell. I love how you used the die to emboss the background.
Love your cards!
Gorgeous cards!
Lovin’ those subtle embossed textures
Beautiful cards! Love the embossing of the shell die on the second card.

Oh that nautilus shell…..so gorgeous!!! Stunning card.
Beautiful Cards.
I adore that nautilus die. Thank you for sharing your creative talents and inspiring me with your cards. Absolutely beautiful.
Thanks for sharing 3 beautiful cards, Debi! Love them all. I thought I wanted the nautilus die but after seeing your card it is definitely going on my must have list. I didn’t think I was interested in the curiosities silhouette dies until I saw your first card. To be honest I wasn’t sure what some of the dies were other than the butterfly and some bugs. Then I saw the lovely flowers you colored to make a bed for
that glorious white butterfly. Now I know what the other dies are and this set is also going on my must have list.
Your cards are beautiful from the fresh summer styled ones to that amazing fall one! I love the acorns and fall leaves and those mushrooms make it even more special. You have really shown off this my monthly hero kit’s potential!
Lovely inspiration.
The acorn wreath is my favourite
These are all gorgeous, but since I love sea shells, the nautilus card has to be my favorite. I’m probably going to order that die because of this card!

I really love these cards; they are so elegant with the faux letterpress.
Dear Debi
You are a genius in coloring. Love all your cards but i coudnt take my eyes off the autumn card with the wreath acorns and mushrooms and colored brightly. You have loads of patience. Love it all.
Hugs

Beautiful cards. Loved the butterfly card and then when I got to the shell card, what a lovely peaceful card.
I absolutely love all your cards! My favorite is the beautiful seashell card. It is so pretty and unique how large it is. The soft colors are perfect.
Your cards are beautiful! That butterfly die is lovely and the wreath is stunning.
The butterfly card shows how versatile a die can be without an accompanying stamp set. And used to emboss rather than cut. Love all the texture in this card!
These cards are gorgeous!
All your cards are gorgeous, but that nautilus? Amazing!
