No month would be complete without the NEW My Monthly Hero Kit, Add-ons, Giveaway and Blog Hop by Hero Arts! And today, I am bringing you some exciting new Christmas projects with a mid-century look for the month of October. Ah, my favorite era! So much fun stuff packed into these designs. If you aren’t a fan of the 50’s-60’s, no problem! Hero Arts has lots of looks for all different styles. Though I always do the add-on cards, I like to show what is in the My Monthly Hero Kit because it is fabulous and a great value at only $34.99. Although the add-on sets are always available, the main kit is only available while supplies last. If you are wanting to enter the giveaway, see all the details on the bottom of my post. This time we are giving away a $50.00 gift certificate! Whoo hoo! I hope YOU win! All information on purchasing any products is also at the end of this post. Now, onto the kit….
Kit Contents:
6″ x 8″ Clear Stamp Set
19 Coordinating Frame Cuts
2-5.5″ x 8.5″ Sheets of Chrome Cardstock
6- 5.5″ x 8.5″ Sheets of Neon Cardstock
Clay Snowflake Embellishments
Prisma Glitter 0.5 oz.
My first card up today is such a cute design! I had loved playing with the Reactive inks and the adorable Santa and Reindeer. Truly they are “out of this world!”
I added acetate “helmets” to them. You can use the Infinity Nesting Circle dies to cut the acetate. To prevent glue from showing, I added little half circle noses to Santa and Rudolph, put E-6000 glue on top, and set the acetate in place. It takes a few minutes to cure but it does the job!
This next stamp set is totally up my alley. Brings back my childhood and the tinsel Christmas tree. Did you have one? I bought a vintage one several years ago. It is my favorite thing to set up, although it has over a hundred branches to put in individually and takes quite a bit of time to do! Thankfully this Christmas tree stamp doesn’t take nearly as long. Just stamp and emboss with silver powder, die-cut and you are done. Don’t you love that cat? Oh my gosh. So cute!
Always a favorite are the Ornament Pieces Cover Plate frame-cuts. I love how quick and easy they are to work with. Making your Christmas cards couldn’t be simpler. I added a few extra steps but you could leave the image as is and it would still look fabulous.
This Ornament Pieces Cover Plate die has so much value! Not only does it look great cut-out, but look at all the little tiny images that remain! You can use them to embellish another card.
If you look closely, I cut three colors of paper from the Ornament Cover Plate, red, black and gray. I layered them so that each was slightly askew and then trimmed the black and gray paper to align with the side of the red. I like dimension so I also used foam dots between the layers. That’s it! I’m sure you have a favorite set but if not, there are other designers that have created a variety of looks and styles using other add-ons as well as the Main kit. All images for my projects are located below. If you are hopping, your next person is the fabulous Emily Midgett! Take a peek and don’t forget to enter the ***GIVEAWAY***!
