Before I let the season get away, I thought I better start showing a few projects that I created for the recent Tim Holtz Chapter 4 Christmas launch using Sizzix dies. Let me just say that I have been creating with dies for over 20 years, 16 of them as an employee for two major manufacturers, Sizzix and Spellbinders. (I will give you more of my history in January). I love designing with them, never tire of the creativity they bring, and though now self employed, I occasionally get the opportunity to play with them again. It is my comfort zone and always offers a variety of possibilities. I love, love, love challenging myself, even though I might grumble a bit in the process, lol. This shaker card was so much fun to create. It has a variety of dies incorporated in it.
I used the new Snowflake, Snowman’s Hat, Holly and Berries and Alphabet dies. (See links at bottom for more info.) I added the Idea-ology sentiment because, like all cards, it needed one!
I always decorate my table with a theme for the holidays and it almost always involves napkin decor or a name cards. What about you? The holly leaves were created using paper-backed velvet ribbon (I attached the ribbon to the paper) and was actually able to die cut them using the thin dies! (I know, pushing the envelope, but it worked!). I love the details that were impressed into the leaves. The tags are from Tim’s new Idea-ology line, as well as the paper that was used for the actual band.
And this little 3-D cutie is a dimensional Christmas ornament made from the Snowflake die and cut from silver metallic and white cardstock.
The little details are important. I added some vintage crystal pieces to the bottom of the snowflake.
Well I think that about wraps it up. And speaking of wrapping, no time like the “present” to go and get my packages done. I decorate those too! It makes me happy to think of the person I am giving my gift to.
XO,
Debi

Love the special details that go into a holiday table setting and your napkin rings have me inspired. We always set the table with the china and silver passed down from generations, I do believe these will be the perfect accompaniment. Your jolly card was a favorite of mine, I love the clean lines and add in that it’s a shaker, even better! The ornament is gorgeous Debi, it will look lovely on someone’s tree for many years to come. I love that you share your talents and creativity and seem to inspire many, including me. Happy holidays to you and your special ones. xx
