Hero Arts-My Monthly Hero Kit for December 2019-A Blog Hop with Add-Ons and a Giveaway

2 Dec

Can you believe December has rolled around and it’s time for another big reveal for the My Monthly Hero Kit by Hero Arts?  We also have a blog hop and GIVEAWAY as always so make sure to scroll to the bottom of this post to get the details. Every month when my package of stamps, die-cuts and products arrive,  I am always excited to see what fun and creative designs the Hero Arts artistic team has dreamed up and produced.  As in all the previous months, I am never disappointed!  Sometimes I have to work a little harder simply because I am in my own box but I actually enjoy the challenge.  December’s Main Kit has so many great pieces that it is sure to making creating, easy!  Check out all the parts and pieces to this  “World” kit.  If priced individually, the entire collection would be $74.00 but it’s available now for $34.99.  This kit is a limited quantity. Once this kit is sold out, it is not replenished however the add-ons will still be around. Kit Contents: 6″ x 8″ Clear Stamp Set 18 Coordinating Frame Cut Dies Earth Palette Reactive Ink Pad Green EcoGlitter 0.5 oz. 5 Mini Brushes Lots of nice artistry and all the good makings for creating cards!  In addition to the fabulous designs above, there are also the  add-on sets that I am showcasing today.  This first set is just one die, “World Window”.  I used it in all three samples the same way I did this Holly card.  I die-cut the image from the top paper, backed and adhered it to a solid paper, then placed the die back on top of the two (making sure to line it up) and ran it through my die-cutting machine with the platform,  using a rubber mat and embossing plate only instead of cutting plates.  This simple silhouette card front showcases the beauty of nature.  A layer of die-cut black paper adds a shadow to the white die-cut card front.  Hero Arts Reactive Inks worked well for creating the sunset and the water. Lots of fun with this sea life card.  What an encouraging sentiment, perfect for someone who might need a little pick me up.  Ah, and those sea creatures are simply adorable!                 Finally, I played with this whale wood stamp. So much fun.  I stamped him three times, two in gray ink and the main whale in Intense Black ink.  Coloring was done with Copic markers and a white pen.  Splatters for the water were created with watered down acrylic paints and a stiff brush.  One of my favorite techniques is to use a light gray marker around the image to give it a 2-D or 3-D appearance. Well that’s it on this end though the blog hop continues on with more fabulous ideas from amazing creators.  Next up is Emily Midgett.  She is one talented lady and I’m sure she has a great spin on these amazing images.  If you missed anyone, just scroll to the blog hop list and catch up. Don’t forget to enter the ***GIVEAWAY!*** XO, Debi Giveaway Information: To celebrate this release, Hero Arts will give away one $50 gift card, drawn from the comments left across the hop. Enter by Sunday, December 8th at 11:59pm pacific, and the winner will be announced on the Hero Arts blog the following week.

    Dear Debbie
I love the way you had used the whalewood stamp to create a beautiful soft palette card. Thanks for the tip to use a grey marker as the outline to create a 2 d or 3d effect. that is great. May you and your family be blessed always. with love and gratitude

I adore the gold seas on the cards featuring The World Window Die. It is such a beautiful use of the shape, highlighting the beauty of the background paper. The textural relief by utilizing the die to deboss the image elevates this design to a superior level.
    I am a huge fan!
