The NEW My Monthly Hero Kit, Blog Hop and Giveaway for April is now live and true to Hero Arts style, it’s a whole new world of inspiration from The Land Down Under. Think beaches and the outback with lots of indigenous animals and plants and you have the picture. Truly a refreshing view from where we all are living right now at this moment. The stamp and design images are unique and beautiful and offer a variety of applications. Though you will see many of the My Monthly Hero Main Kit cards on the hop, I have chosen to showcase three of the add-on images. Before I get started, let’s look at what is in the main kit first. (All of the products for this launch, the blog hop list and giveaway are located at the end of this post. Please make sure to read about shipping times for this month.)

Kit Contents:
6″ x 8″ Clear Stamp Set
31 Coordinating Frame Cuts
5.25″ x 6.5″ Sunset Stencil
Intense Black Ink Pad
2 5.5″ x 8.5″ Cherry Wood Sheets
3 5.5″ x 8.5″ Adhesive-backed Birch Wood Sheets
This entire collection retails for $80.00 but it is available for purchase for only $34.99 and is only available while supplies last. Once it’s gone, it’s gone. And I will be honest, they generally go fast.
And if this new release isn’t amazing enough, read about the purchase of this specially designed pin…

During these difficult times, this pin serves as a reminder that we are one world, in this together, and we are stronger when we support one another with friendship and kindness. Hero Arts will donate 100% of net profits from the sale of this pin to support COVID-19 disaster relief. How cool is that? We all win with this pin! This is one of the many reasons I love working alongside Hero Arts. They have such a giving heart as well as incredibly talented in-house artists.
Take a look at this My Monthly Hero add-on set for example. I love this floral set and someone at HA definitely has some talent. I suppose because I am a wedding florist, I am particularly drawn to this collection. I thought this would be a perfect Mother’s Day card. What do you think? The flowers were colored with Copic Markers and a few touches of a white pen. I added some leaves that were kept in black and white to draw attention to the flowers themselves.

My second card features this adorable koala. Sitting perched on a eucalyptus branch, he looks kind and welcoming. The Eucalyptus Bold Print stamp behind him opens up into a greeting card with a sentiment when the strings are untied. He was also colored with Copics.

And my last card was the entire Eucalyptus Bold Print on a card. This was probably my favorite design in the collection. The image was stamped onto Arches Watercolor paper using Intense Black Ink. For coloring, I used the Daniel Smith Watercolor Dot Palette and a water flow brush. I stitched a rectangular piece of vellum over the top and attach a stamped and embossed sentiment on Pitch Black cardstock.

So there you have my three add-on collection cards. I love the Australian inspired art this month. It’s nice to feel like you’ve gotten away even if you are still sitting in your home. Next up is Janette Kausen. I’m a total fan girl of her work. Sure hope you will stop in and see what she’s been creating.
XO,
Debi
