Hi friends! Since many of you are either new to me, my blog or my social media platforms, I thought it was time to do an updated bio. It’s been quite a few years and mine is pretty dated, though my age has never changed, of course. As usual, I overthought the process, you know, I had to do some “research” as to what a bio is really intended for and by the time I got done with my “homework” I realized there are a million ways to write these things. So what I thought I would do, is leave several of them here for you to look at based on your time, interest and/or boredom factor. Honestly, who writes that stuff? Better yet, who does this stuff? Guilty.
Anyway, I sincerely want to welcome you here. I am all about community, especially with COVID keeping us at a distance. We need each other. I am about inclusivity, that means everyone gets to come to the table. I refrain from political discussions on social media unless it involves inclusivity, as it seems to divide people rather than bring them together and I really sense we need some hope, healing and unity, particularly now. I plan on learning as much from you as I hope you get from me. Educating, learning and growing together is my thing.
Short Bio: For those in a hurry…
Artist, Craft, Junker, Photographer, Diverse (A.D.D.) Creator, Debi likes to make something/anything from almost nothing but never the same thing twice. Like ever.
Average Intentional Bio:
As an artist, crafter, photographer and part time junker, my hope is to inspire you to think outside of the box, look at new places for inspiration, gain confidence in newly acquired skills and provide positive insight into those areas that might be lacking. I want to broaden your range of art by bringing things of interest and consideration to you via virtual fields trips and conversations and apply those visuals or actual components into the art substrate. I also want to share ways to make your art stand out through simple photography tips, tricks and techniques.
Longer Version: Continues On from the Average Intentional Bio- This is the blah, blah, blah part or perhaps TMI.
Debi Adams has been in the art and craft industry for over 40 years. Her skillset includes mixed media art, photography, cardmaking, stamp and die designing, floral arranging, cookie painting, party and event designing, watercolor, sewing and last, but certainly not least, junking. She proudly boasts at how well she “manages” to mess up her craft room (in just minutes) and how illiterate she is with computer basics by “reinforcing” that “skill” everyday by deleting, loosing or forget something, somewhere. A teacher by education but an artist at heart, Debi has worked for several large crafting companies as a Creative Designer. She has been featured in Where Women Create, Where Women Cook, Somerset Life, Somerset Studio and other creative magazines and has a cardmaking online course through StencilGirl Products. She runs a small wedding floral business and is now a freelance artist and designer. A mom of four girls and grandma to 3 grandsons and a granddaughter, Debi resides in Anaheim, California where creating art is like being at Disneyland. It’s the happiest place on earth.
Well, you made it to the end! Congrats! Thought I would throw in a few pics of my creative space. It is ever evolving as I bring in more, but wishing I could take some out… It seems like the trash is the only thing that comes and goes… Here is one side of the room. Sure love the light here. And just so you know, this is NOT how my room normally looks. We must have been expecting company… 😉 More “real” pictures coming soon.
Just another day “arting” and “crafting”. See you Thursday where I plan on doing a Facebook Live! And a big thank you to Seth Apter for making this all happen.

Debi – Thank you for sharing your bio. Though I knew of you (seeing your name on product and on blogs), I now have a more insightful picture of who you are. Most interesting of note is how our crafty journeys – as most artistic journeys – are never in straight lines but more like chasing after squirrels. I enjoy your style and work (your cuckoo clock was ingenious!!!) Thank you for sharing and giving us a snapshot into your world and where your journey has taken you thus far. I look forward to further inspiration that emerges from your imaginative, creative mind!

I would love to have read this blog but I am a LOT older than you are and I cannot easily read the GREY text against the white background. At my age and eyesight i need black text,. your photos are lovely though.
