Super happy to be bringing another card featuring Tim Holtz’ Lucky Love, 3-D Impresslits. These fabulous cut and emboss dies create two designs, one a heart and the other a shamrock. My last post featured the heart, this one features the shamrock, as well as Tim’s Wildflower Stems #3 and Funky Wreath thinlits dies and the Intertwined 3-D folder. I decided to take these pieces to one of my favorite places, and that is, watercolors. (Most of the supplies used in my sample are shown at the end of my post.)
For the background of this card as well as the die-cut pieces, I used Arches watercolor paper. It’s simply the best and most successful for me, great for floating watercolors around. I first embossed the top left corner of the base (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Arches) at an angle using Tim’s Intertwined 3-D Texture Fades Embossing Folder then I watercolored it using Vintage Photo Distress Ink. (A staple in my color box.) This made the image pop and also gave it a weathered look.
I stamped Vines and Roses using Vintage Photo ink in the bottom right corner. Green was watercolored in the area behind the sentiment and on the clovers and leaves. Shades of purple watercolors were applied to the florals.
I lightly touched the clover and flowers with an 18 kt. gold metallic pen. I love the tiny hairline details in that clover.
I stamped the True Friendship sentiment stamp onto ivory cardstock using Walnut Stain Distress ink and stitched it onto Tim’s gold metallic cardstock. Before finally adhering it to the card base, I die-cut the wreath from the backside of the metallic cardstock and attached it to the top of the sentiment and embellished it with the gold pen. It all was attached to a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card base. That was it. Oh and I snuck a die-cut clover from Tim’s green metallic cardstock behind one of the clovers to add a bit of a Dresden-look. I found such enjoyment creating this card. There is something about watercolors and these fabulous designs that are so relaxing. If you have not tried these 3-D Impresslits, I want to encourage you to do it. I cannot say enough good things about them. The dimension they create and the details inside each one are absolutely fantastic. I hope Tim and Sizzix make lots more but for now, I will take these!
Well, that’s it. Thanks for stopping in. I’m back to my creative station. What are you working on?
I tried to compile a list of all of Tim’s products that were used in this card. Some were a bit hard to locate but most are listed below. Just so you know, I am part of an affiliate link which means I earn a small percentage of the sale, which is never passed on to you, the customer.

Debi, this card is every bit as beautiful and creative as your floral arrangements! Question: whose stamp is the “True Friendship”? It’s beautiful. Hope your birthday was FUN!

Yes, where is the True Friendship stamp? The card is just lovely. All of your designs are inspirational. Loved “following along”.
