My Monthly Hero Countdown for July 2021

2 Jul

Can you believe we are almost half way through the year and into July already? And July means it’s time for a sneak peek into the NEW My Monthly Hero Kit for July 2021. Ok, I might have let out a little squeal when I saw this new collection because I’m pretty sure there were somethings in this set that were made just for me. Just kidding, but seriously, you got to love the fun and whimsical nature of these images, especially the mushrooms! (And who doesn’t love some polka dots?) Today I am showing a large portion of the kit on my card but definitely not all of it. You will need to check over on Hero Arts Blog to see what the other designers have created and perhaps get a view of even more images. I will be back here on TUESDAY (not Monday, as it is the day after the Fourth) to show the entire collection AND several of the add-ons so I hope you will return.

So here is my featured card. Just look at these fabulous forest designs! So cute and there are many ways to make a variety of cards with them!

They are all super clean images with lots of easy stamping using Hero Arts Intense Black Ink and coloring with Copic Markers. I love that Hero Arts has coordinating dies for nearly all of this month’s images. It makes cutting them out so much better and, as many of you know, I like making my cards dimensional so it is definitely a game changer for me.

I hand cut the dome and base where the entire scene rests. Let me know if you would like a pattern and I will put one together and send it to you. It’s super quick to make. To give it the appearance of glass, I lightly shaded the side and top with Pool Party Reactive Ink using a blending brush. With the sentiment on the base being stamped first, all the images were then adhered to the base with adhesive and foam dots. I also used Sea Salt Reactive ink to create the fern curls for the background. I thought just a few images here and there would fill in the base without taking away much from the cute designs. The word “gnome” was stamped and embossed with white embossing powder.

And there you have it! A great little card for someone special! Sure hope you will check out Hero Arts Blog today and see the other designers and their work. I know you will love their creations as much as I do! Go here to get the links to the other bloggers participating and make sure to leave a comment on each one to be entered to win a July 2021 kit before anyone else! The winner will be announced on Hero Arts.

Happy Friday friends!

Debi, this card it’s so beautiful, I love the way that you made looking as if it was in a globe. I also love that you didn’t make it as a Christmas card because most people use the gnomes for Christmas. I believe this is is very versatile and can be use all year round. Gnome it’s one of my favorite themes, I love, love, love your card. Thank you for sharing it.
