Happy September! It’s the beginning of my favorite time of the year and what better way to welcome this month than with a sneak peek of the My Monthly Hero Kit for September? Oh and this one is no disappointment! It has some unique layered-products that are a little different from any of our prior kits. Whether you like to create simple projects or ones with lots of details, you will certainly have plenty of choices with this kit. Just what I love…options! So here’s what I made with the set..
How happy is this card? Like sunshine, right? And some of us need to see this right now. Ok, so I have to let you in on a little secret. I created the background using Blue Hawaii, Pool Party and Blue Raspberry Reactive inks…for another card. And like lots of my projects, it just didn’t work out so great so I set it aside. (Thank God I didn’t toss it because that is definitely my mo!) Days later I came back with this stamped, stenciled and colored Sunflower quartet and man, that background was the ticket! Before adhering the Sunflowers down, I stamped and embossed the Sunflower outline in white embossing powder.
I added a little bit of white sprinklings with a uni-ball pen. I also added a little more color to my leaves using Copic markers, but I mostly did the coloring with the Sunflower stencils. Oh you are going to love this set up! My only hope is that they make more of these layered flowers, like peonies and roses :). Ok, so now the florist in me is coming out. I see lots of possibilities.
Included in the kit are two die sentiments that have coordinating outlines, as seen here with the word, “hello”. Of course, I added part of a stamp sentiment to make a greeting phrase and my card was complete.
I absolutely had a blast with this set and I’m thinking this is going to sell out quickly! Tuesday is launch day (normally it’s a Monday) and the kit will be available for purchase. Once it is sold out, it is gone. If you are interested in becoming a kit subscriber, just click the subscriber link at the end of my post where you will receive more information on the kit. And please come back here on Tuesday as we will have a blog hop and giveaway. I will be showing this kit in a completely different way. Ah, versatility, it’s the spice of life!
Oh, and hey, we have a giveaway today too! Just leave a comment on each of the Countdown posts to be entered to win a $50.00 Hero Arts gift card! Winner will be announced on Tuesday, September and receive a kit before anyone else!
Make sure to check out the other Countdown designers over at Hero Arts.
Thanks for hanging with me. Happy Friday!

Debi Adams! I am so blown away that I feel like kicking into Spanish Ricky Ricardo style to tell you how fantastic this card is! This gorgeous! You always use the most beautiful colors! You’re right, peonies and roses would be awesome! As we say in Spanish, te aventaste! Literal translation is “you threw yourself.” It’s meant as “you outdid yourself.” WOW! 💜 Sending you hugs, girlfriend. I’m turning a year older in a week or so. Girl, yes, 52! JLo and I are the same age. I’m just the chubby version of JLo. 😂😂😂 Warn hugs!
