Hi friends! It’s Monday and even better, it’s release Monday! Super happy to be bringing this fun and creative My Monthly Hero Kit for the month of May 2022 by Hero Arts to you. For those of you who might be jumping in here, every month Hero Arts produces a special monthly kit that features fabulous designs that you can subscribe to receive, or while supplies last, purchase as a one time deal. Today’s launch features a lot of kitchen decor and foodie designs. It’s a culinary delight and I was so excited to create with it. I am not alone in showcasing this amazing collection. As always, there is a blog hop and giveaway that you will definitely want to see and read about so make sure to scroll to the bottom of my post to learn more. You will find all the products listed at the end as well. So let’s look at this kit first and then move into the add-on collections.
Here’s my little twist on the set. I tried to show a variation to the actual kitchen set so that you could see the versatility of the dies and stamps. I made more of an office-scene. I turned the toaster upside down to create a planter, used the hood die to make a lamp and used a drawer to create a printer. The pepper shaker was turned upside down and used as a light bulb. Lots cookin’ here. Lol.
If you missed my post on Saturday showcasing another way to use the set, go here. You will notice I used the hood as a completely different object. 🙂 Did you find it?
And this is what the set actually looks like…
The kit comes with the following:
• 4″ x 6″ Clear Stamp Set
• Cover Plate Fancy Die
• 6 Additional Fancy Dies
• Cling Background Stamp (4.625″ x 5.875″)
• 12 Sheets of Cardstock – 4 each of Pink, Mint, White (5.5″ x 8.5″)
• Watermark & Embossing Ink Cube
• Cast Iron Embossing Powder (0.5 oz.)
• Blue Baker’s Twine (10 yards)
Whew! That’s quite a list of goodies, all available for $34.99, valued at $70.00. Quite the deal. I do believe this set is going to sell out so if you’re not already subscriber (go here to subscribe), you will want to order this right away. Once the kit is sold out it is not replenished.
I also couldn’t resist making a recipe greeting card…
Of course, Hero Arts always offers other coordinating themed stamps and dies to stand alone and/or go with the kit. These add-ons are readily available and if for any reason, they sell out, they will be back in stock shortly. As always, I made a few cards from some of the sets.
This first card features the new Kitchen Shelf Background. I also used the Apron Stamp and Cut XL, Bottle and Cork Infinity Dies (yep, the rolling pin was made from the Bottle die-cut), and Treat Bags Stamp & Cut XL (sentiments). Everything was colored in loosely with Copic Markers on top of Dove White Cardstock. My outline ink of choice is almost always Hero Arts Intense Black.
This next card is definitely a quieter version of the real thing, take my word for it. LOL. (My daughter and her family have roosters and chickens.) I paired this Eggcellent Stamps and Eggcellent Frame Cuts with our current catalog die, the Open Windows Fancy Die. Again, everything was stamped with Intense Black Ink and colored with Copic Markers except the sun and sky background. I used blending brushes with Splash and Lemon Drop Reactive Inks to embellish those. I love the happy words that accompany this set.
There are several more sets that are out this month too! Just click on the links below to be taken to where you can view them.
Well, I have kept ya’ll long enough. Sure hope you’ve seen some things that have inspired you to create. If you are wanting to see more, check out the blog hop! So many great designers with so much talent! Next up is Emily Midgett. She always has some fabulous projects to share.

Love your cards!! And I love how you used the hood as a light fixture…..genius! And you switched up some of the items that sit on the shelf! Amazing! That made me think that instead of using the shelving all the time, I could probably cut out two more cabinets from the bottom of the die to hang on my wall!! Awesome! I think you just helped me decide to order that kit lol!
