A NEW My Monthly Hero Kit for July 2020, blog hop and giveaway has arrived and none too soon! If you are in the midst of a hot summer like I am, this collection will help you beat the heat with its fresh images of the sea. Think Atlantis, scuba divers, sea shells, sea creatures and you get the picture. Hard to choose just a few cards to feature today so I am going to stretch them out this week on my blog and instagram. For today, I definitely want to share the My Monthly Hero Kit. This July special comes with 1-6″ x 8″ stamp set, 9 frame cuts, 5 fabulous inks, one embossing powder and 3 sheets of glittered paper. It is a great value at only $34.99 but you know, the My Monthly Hero Kits come in a limited supply. Once they are gone, they are gone. Pre-order your kit today. We estimate kit shipping will begin Friday, July 17th and continues throughout the following week.
And here is one of the cards I created with this kit. The background was created from Pool Party Reactive ink-colored vellum paper. The Atlantis frame cut image was cut from Dove White cardstock, embellished with Pool Party & Blue Hawaii Reactive Inks and then deepened with Navy Mid-tone ink then secured it in place. To add another layer of dimension, I attached a vellum frame-cut from the coral/plant die. (I did not stamp the image.) This gave it a water-y feel. I stamped the sea formations, plants and details onto Dove White cardstock and cut it out using the corresponding frame cut image. Foam dots were used to adhere this piece onto the card base. The sand was cut free-hand and embellished with the ” water lines” stamp and peach embossing powder. Lastly the sentiment was stamped and secured to the bottom of the card base using foam dots. I hope you “sea” this card has several layers but they are all very easy.
And this little cutie, oh my! “Sea You Soon” is one of the new add-on sets. Love this octopus and all his little friends. Shall we give it a “hand”? It made for a great ocean shaker card, complete with several shades of Hero Arts sequins and several Reactive Inks. The sentiment is just perfect for these times. Have someone you could send this too? I know, probably more than one someone.
And the last card for today is this Porthole Fancy Die combined with the “Deeply In Love” Stamp and Frame Cut set. All are part of the add-on collection. Again, lots of layering because that is one of my favorite things to do but this Porthole really called for it, don’t you think?
Well there you have three new cards. One card features the My Monthly Hero Kit and the other two are this month’s add-ons. I know you will find a lot of creativity with Emily Midgett. She’s up next on the hop. Don’t forget to enter the giveaway. See information below as well as how to purchase any of the new My Monthly Hero items, showcased products and see who you might have missed on the hop.
XO,
Blog Hop
