My Monthly Hero Kit Release for August 2020 + Blog Hop & Giveaway

3 Aug

Oh hey and happy My Monthly Hero Kit release launch for August and what a launch it is, and as always, we’re doing a blog hop and giveaway so make sure to go to the end of this post for those details!

Staycation. Looks like it’s a popular spot this year but no reservations needed! Have you had one yet? Better yet, do you need one? Well I’m pretty sure by now you can guess what the theme is for the My Month Hero Kit and add-ons. Do you have a favorite thing you like to do at home? Pretty sure somewhere in this launch there is something relatable. As I said on the Hero blog on Friday, choosing a card or even two to showcase was really hard because all the images by the Hero Arts in-house designers are fabulous. So today, I am featuring just a few of them and then throughout the week I will post either here again or on Instagram.

Here’s a look at the My Monthly Hero Kit for August. Something for everyone in the family! The entire collection is regularly a $76.00 value and is available for $34.99 but this is one of those special purchases that when it’s sold out, it’s gone and will not be restocked. You will definitely want to get in on this one. Info on purchasing any of the products here today is located at the bottom of my post.

You will receive the following:

• 6″ x 8″ Clear Stamp Set

•23 Coordinating Frame Cuts

• 1 Greetings Fancy Die

• 5 White Postcards

• Summer Twilight Palette Reactive Ink Pad

First sample up is the My Monthly Hero Kit card. Yes, we have a guy in there, chillaxin’. Whoo hoo! It maybe a “Staycation” theme but it’s good for Father’s Day, birthday and retirement too! Also, check out those clouds. Can you guess what they really are? Ok, so I was desperate!

And, we also have a gal…

Both cards used Copic markers for coloring and cardstock for color blocking. So is it reading or a glass of wine/drink for you?

***********************************************************************

Of course I always like to show add-ons on “opening day”. I love this set. The “slat” background was created by adding raised strips of Dove White cardstock onto a tan background. Kind of thought it brought that boho vibe home, literally. A few wooden beads held the sentiment in place. The rest of the images were stamped in Intense Black ink onto Dove White cardstock, die-cut, and colored with Copic Markers.

Oh my, and these “shibori” tie dyed shirts are to die for. Big shibori fan here, but I will showcase them later as retro tie dye shirts in neon colors. Again, kudos to the Hero Arts design team for making such fabulous images to create with. I had an idea for working with these dies so I pulled out the Cabinet Door Fancy Die and cut it out because it resembled the mid-century cylinder blocks from the 60’s. I added the stamped and brushed Onesies, using Navy Mid-tone Ink, along with some of the plants from the set above and put them all together. You see a 60’s set here? Think I will be using this one often.

Well there you have just a few of my launch cards. Hope it gave you some ideas for creating. If you are looking for more inspiration, Daniel West is next on the hop. I know he has been busy packing a punch with his fabulous style! If you missed anyone along the way, the blog hop list is below along with the giveaway information and product links for all the sets I used here.

Thanks for visiting!

XO,

We will give away one $50.00 gift card drawn from the comments left across the hop. Enter by Sunday, August 9th at 11:59 p.m. Pacific, and the winner will be announced on the Hero Arts blog the following week.

***********************************************************************

Interested in any of the above featured products? You can link to them from here. I am part of an Affiliate Link which means I earn a small percentage of any generated sale but that amount is never passed onto you, the customer. Also, it has always been my policy to never showcase any product that I would not approve or use myself. The My Monthly Hero Kit for August is available through pre-order and will begin shipping approximately August 10th and continue throughout the rest of the week.

So glad you didn’t ask which is a favourite in your fantastic array of cards, as I just couldn’t choose. All of them are Fabulous! I think the backgrounds & add-ons you used brought them to a whole other level. The slats was a brilliant idea! I can have a stay-cation each day as my home & yard is my sanctuary. I have a zero-gravity chair in which I sit with a drink of some sort, my sun hat on & a good book in hand. Usually my favourite dog in the whole world is laying somewhere close by. Oh, what more could a girl ask for? lol
I love this release as it relates to my world so well!
