Happy Monday friends! So excited to share the new My Monthly Hero Kit by Hero Arts for June 2021 with a blog hop and giveaway! Lots of celebrating going on here and it looks like it’s raining cats, dogs AND birthdays! Cannot wait to show you what I have been busy making but before I jump on in, I wanted to let you know that this is a blog hop with a giveaway! All the information for the hop, the giveaway and featured products are located at the end of this post so don’t forget to scroll to the end!
Well here’s June’s fabulous, My Monthly Hero Kit. Let’s give it some “apaws”! 🙂
So much comes with this kit, as always. For $34.99 you will receive the following:
6″ x 8″ Clear Stamp Kit
17 Coordinating Frame Cuts
Light Mint Dye Ink Cube
Round Clay Sprinkles
Sparkle Lacquer Pen
This set values for $72.00, but is now available for $34.99. Order now to secure your set because once it’s gone, stock will not be replenished.
Here’s one of the cards I created for this collection. Love the confetti dots that add to the festivities! Lots of colorful balloons using Copic Markers, Reactive inks for the sky and grass and a rectangular-frame that fits a slimline card base, to show off the darling stamp and frame cut images.
My next three cards feature the kit add-ons. I have chosen a few of my favorites, though this entire series really has a lot of great options for birthdays.
First up is this Birthday Balloons Bold Prints Background Stamp with the Birthday Stamp & Cut XL sentiments. I stamped everything in Intense Black ink, colored in the balloons with Copic Markers, framed the colored sentiments with Pitch Black cardstock, and attached the die-cut word, “Celebrate” to the base. Super easy card to make.
And here is another sweet image designed by the creative Hero Arts in-house team. Who doesn’t love cupcakes? These are Coloring Layered goodies, just like the real deal! I used several shades of coordinating Reactive Inks for the two parts of the frosting and Lemon Drop Reactive Ink and Caramel Hybrid Ink for the liner. I went back and embossed the lined, accordion part of the wrapper using embossing ink and gold embossing powder. The pink cupcake was die-cut and has the die-cut cupcake (no stamp) from gold cardstock mounted behind it. A few stamps of sprinkles and a gold embossed sentiment completed the card.

And then the last card showcases an element that is actually a pop-up card but I am showcasing it here to demonstrate that the cake can be used without that feature as well. Team member Ilina Crouse has the same image on her blog using it as it was designed. Hope you will pop over there to see what she created! Anyway, I used Reactive Inks for the background and the same Reactive Inks to color in the Confetti stencil. The Birthday Cake was cut from Dove White cardstock and mounted onto the card using foam dots. The candle flames were colored with Copic Markers. The sentiment and decorative elements were brushed with Reactive Inks. I added yellow and gold glittered stars using the Nesting Stars Infinity dies. I can think of a ton of possibilities with both of the new sets. Guess it’s time to check that blog hop that’s happening right now! Every designer on the team is so incredibly talented that I’m sure you will find a new idea for every new add-on as well as the kit for making a card.

Wonderful yummy varieties. This reminds me of when our younger dog ate part of birthday cake 2 yrs ago. Thank goodness cake was not chocolate; it was raspberry.

Hi, Debi –
I like all of the cards you posted – thank you for sharing so many! I think my favorite is the one w/ the cupcakes front and center. I also am very grateful that you shared the “pop up” cake die. I was / am having a little difficulty getting a clear idea how popped up the die cut piece actually is. It’s a very attractive item and I think I would like to buy it, but I was not seeing it used in others’ cards, so thanks!!

Really pretty cards… I love the party slimline with the balloons in and out of the frame. Really cute, made me laugh that if those balloons dont hold up that black kitty, he’s gonna get his behind burned on the birthday cake candles. Darling fun perfect MMH kit!
