Hey friends! Happy you are joining me here today. I’m so excited to announce the brand new Hero Arts 2021 Holiday Catalog that is jam packed with fabulous winter designs and projects for your creative inspiration! Not only are there tons of new products but Hero Arts is offering three giveaways along with a blog hop! Make sure to scroll to the end of my post to see how to enter the giveaway and catch up with some of your favorite designers on the hop.
Today I want to feature a few of the new products that are now available on the website but know there are so many more, so be sure to check out the blog hop where you will receive a ton more inspiration and possibilities.
First up is a fun gift tag featuring the Merry Christmas Santa Clear Stamp Set. (All information for purchasing products featured here are located at the end of my post.)
Merry Christmas Santa & Reindeer…
I think this simple Santa image is so cute and easy to color with markers.
Now what makes him a little different is that I created him to look as if he is coming out of a chimney. I stamped him, as well as the sentiment, onto a piece of 2 1/4″ x 5″ Dove White cardstock using Intense Black Ink and Copic markers and then trimmed Santa out to the top of his boots.
To create the chimney, I used Brickwall Bold Prints (not new, but certainly wonderful), stamped on a 6″ x 2 1/2″ piece of red cardstock using Red Royal Mid-tone ink. I folded the 6″ strip in half so that the chimney became 3″ x 2 1/2″ then stitched the sides closed. I attached a 3/4″ x 3″ strip of red cardstock to the top with adhesive and fussy-cut some Dove White cardstock to resemble snow for the top and adhered it in place. I stamped and embossed the sentiment in white and lightly misted the chimney with “snow” by carefully splattering watered-down white acrylic paint. That’s it. And since this set comes with the delightful reindeer too, you can do something similar with him as well. Small set but big on possibilities.
For this next card I combined several new sets to make one holiday card. Lots of ideas in each one but they also work well together!
Color Layering Robin and Frame Cuts….
Holly Berries Stamps and Frame-cuts…
Buffalo Checked Pattern Bold Prints…
XOXO Bold Prints…
This little bird is so cute! I couldn’t help but create with him. There are a ton of ways you can color him but I chose to stay in a limited color palette of gray, black, and very light taupe. I love that the bird is a Color Layering design because not only does he get stamped and colored in quickly but he comes with a coordinating die set for easy cutting.
To create this card, I stamped the new Buffalo Check Bold print onto Dove White Cardstock using Intense Black ink, die-cut the XOXO Cover Plate and attached it onto Red cardstock. These fit onto the front of a Dove White Top-Folded Card.
I then stamped the bird (color-layering technique). I then used Intense Black ink to stamp the Holly Berries onto Dove White cardstock and die-cut the entire piece. After coloring ink the image with markers, I splattered it with watered-down white acrylic paint. Once dry, it was attached to the card base. Using white embossing powder and embossing ink, I stamped the two sentiments onto black and red cardstock and heat set them. They were then attached to the card base.
For my final card today, I am featuring a Halloween card using these two sets…
Etched Winter Swirls Bold Print…
Halloween Icons…
I like keeping my Halloween on the brighter side. :). Reactive inks help get that look. Check out our new Reactive Ink cube collections!
The background was created by using blending brushes loaded with Blue Hawaii, Purple Galaxy, Lemon Drop and Creamsicle Reactive inks as well as Navy Mid-tone ink. Etched Winter Swirls Bold Prints was stamped onto the background using Sea Salt Reactive ink. The Halloween Icons were die-cut from various colors of paper and embellished with markers. (The word “Boo” is part of the Shadowed Letter Set) I love how bright this card is. Definitely a change from the darkness of Halloween.
Well I hope that I have given you at least a tiny glimpse into the new Hero Arts 2021 Holiday Catalog. There are so many new designs. Sure hope you will take a look. Debi,
You are a knockout artist!! Your talent is off the charts. I was looking at the little Santa tag card at the start of this entry and thinking “Where was THAT when I was ordering? I missed it!!” and then I started scrolling down… and down… and I saw those gorgeous holly berry branches with that cute bird from the bird layering set… and then I saw even MORE. That Halloween card is BE.YOND. BEYOND!! I absolutely love it, and that is high praise b/c I don’t usually dwell on that holiday or pay a lot of attention to it. Your work is top-tier!!
