As promised, I’m back here today ready to show you the full My Monthly Hero Kit reveal by Hero Arts with some add-ons, a hop (for more inspiration), and as always, a fabulous giveaway! Thank you for hopping on in. Well this month’s kit is all about holiday tags and sentiments, perfect for gift wrapping as well as cards and party decor. Information for purchasing any of the items featured here are located at the bottom of this post. Also you will DEFINITELY want to check out the FANTASTIC giveaway this month. Scroll to the end of this post to see!
And one more thing I need to mention…good until November 5th! WOW!
So let’s look at November’s My Monthly Hero Kit…
The kit contains the following items:
• 4″ x 6″ Clear Stamp Set
• 13 Coordinating Fancy Dies
• 10 Sheets of Snow Cardstock (5.5″ x 8.5″)
• 1 Sheet of White Glitter Paper (5.5″ x 8.5″)
• White Puff Embossing Powder (0.5 oz.)
• Lacquer Pen (0.5 oz.)
• Holiday Twine (1 yard)
The kit is valued at $70.00 but now available while supplies last at $34.99! Like all of the My Monthly Hero Kits, when it’s sold out, it is gone so if you are considering it, now is the time to buy. It’s well worth it’s value and features time-saving paper piecing dies, something the whole family will enjoy doing.
Although originally designed as tags, these adorable characters can be worked into party favors and cards, which is what I chose to do.
Although I love all the designs in this kit, I am especially drawn to the reindeer and snowman. Something about their sweet little faces.
For coloring the reindeer, I cut out all his parts from Dove White Cardstock and embellished with Caramel Hybrid Ink, Cup O’Joe mid-tone ink and Copic Markers. Once assembled, (I placed a piece of Pitch Black cardstock behind his cut out eyes to fill it in and red cardstock for his nose), I adhered him to an embellished, Key Lime Reactive Ink background on Dove White Cardstock. The gift was the polka dot stamp design stamped in Ultra Pink Mid-tone ink from the kit onto light pink cardstock. It was then trimmed and became the bottom package. The ribbon was the striped stamp design inked up in Green Apple Reactive Ink and then trimmed down to fit the box. I love how the reindeer is just barely peeking out! A stamped sentiment in the shape of a tag with a red and white twine bow was attached to the top of the gift. Easy card! TIP: If you make the bottom box a small card instead, you could add your stash of cash to the inside of it, making it a great gift card.
Here’s a quick shot of all the characters that come in the kit. They are all so cute.
Now on to the add-ons for this month. So many good ones to choose from but I’ll feature just a few today.
First up is this festive Christmas card done in pink. I used the new Merry Poinsettia Bunch stamps and frame cuts as well as the Argyle Bold Prints stamp (background) with Ultra Pink ink. Nearly everything was colored with Copic Markers. I lightly splattered the Intense Black stamped flowers with white acrylic paint and the center of the poinsettias was embellished with a gold metallic marker. Super bright and festive card. So nice that this set has a coordinating die for the Poinsettia cluster.
And as part of our monthly offerings, here is November’s Winter Accessories Lifestyle set. It goes with the Lifestyle Form Fancy dies and the Lifestyle Faces. I paired it with the current, Merry Christmas Cover Plate. This was a quick and easy color palette involving the blending of Grape Crush, Blue Hawaii, Berry Smoothie Reactive Inks and just a tiny bit of Navy Mid-tone ink. Our skater’s outfit was embellished with Copic Markers. Gotta love those glasses or goggles! 🙂
And this last card is another quick one, more about the season than the holidays though with a little imagination this one could be changed to reflect the holidays too! Personally, I love the clean designs with this set. And I love the vision of being warm and cozy inside.
Well that’s it from me. Lots of great designs and images this month. Never disappointed that’s for sure. The choice of what to buy could be hard or you could buy the complete set! If you are joining the hop, your next stop is Emily Midgett. She’s sure to have some amazing cards worked entirely different than the ones showcased here so I hope you take a look. The AWESOME giveaway and blog hop information are listed below. Have a fabulous day!
