Hi all! So happy to have you joining me today for the big reveal of the NEW My Monthly Hero Kit for December 2021 by Hero Arts. It’s always so exciting and fun to see what is being launched even when I know what the products are before most of you because the variety of styles by the design team are soooo inspiring. I highly recommend checking them out on the blog hop today. We also have a giveaway. Information on both is located at the end of the post as well as how to find out about purchasing the kit, add-ons or products used in my projects.
So let’s take a quick look at my project and the kit. Ah, I forgot to take a pretty photo before shipping my project off to Libby for the Facebook Live on Hero Arts page on Tuesday but I think you get the picture. The houses are actually a complete Bold Print filled with different kinds of houses. (See kit photo below project.) I love how you can pick and choose what images you like to design with. As always, lots of sentiments and fun little stamp icons to enhance the collection. There are so many unique and diverse ways to create with this kit. See Sunday’s post here for my entirely different vibe.
And here’s what comes in the kit. It’s all about cities and neighborhoods, where everyone belongs. Love it! Lots of life and community in this one.
In this kit you will receive the following:
• 4″ x 6″ Clear Stamp Set
• 11 Coordinating Frame Cuts
• Fancy Cover Plate Die (4.25″ x 5.5″)
• City Cling Stamp (6″ x 6″)
• 4 Sheets of Black Cardstock (5.5″ x 8.5″)
• 3 Reactive Ink Cubes (Berry Smoothie, Fruit Punch, Lemon Drop)
• 10 Clothespins
As always, the My Monthly Hero Kit is only available while supplies last which means, once it’s gone, it’s gone! Add-ons are replenished however.
Speaking of add-ons, I love to showcase those too! Lots of possibilities and ways to create with them alone or with the Kit as well.
First up is this color block card. Stamped and die-cut using the Warm Welcome set, this card works up rather easily. I did a little embellishing with Copic Markers and that was it. 🙂 The sky and hills were fussy-cut using light blue, medium green and navy cardstock. The sentiment was stamped with Navy ink.
Here’s the set…
And the die cuts…
Next up is this all die-cut card with the exception of the background (Nevermore Bold Prints) and the sentiment (part of the Wherever You Go set).
I cut the houses from various colors of cardstock and then rearranged them on top of the Cornflower Blue stamped background. Grass was free-hand cut and stitched onto a slimline-size mat and attached to another slimline card base.
Tip: Keep die connected while using a variety of colored papers and you will be able to make lots of cards from the resulting mix and match, die-cut images.
The sentiment was stamped and embossed with white powder onto Pitch Black cardstock.
Lastly, I am featuring this card that, although lying down, it is intended to stand up. Make sure to watch Libby’s Facebook Live on Tuesday to see how this feature works because again, I forgot to photo it.
The card was stamped in Intense Black ink onto Dove White cardstock, cut from coordinating die-cuts, colored and adhered to a folded circle. I trimmed out just a tad of the circle on the bottom to create a stand of sorts.
Well, there you have it! Four cards all designed to be a link to your neighborhood and community. I’m certain you will find lots of uses for these sets. In fact, Emily Midgett is up next and I am certain you will find a totally different spin on the Main kit as well as the add-ons. Be sure to check her out here.
Thanks for joining me today. Don’t forget to enter the giveaway and continue with the blog hop. All information is below!
