So obviously today was a no show at the estate sale and not on my part by any means. I showed up today and yesterday as well, at the appointed time, and it ended up being rescheduled for next Friday. Super disappointed because, well, you will see in the second picture below. That was all I could see with my camera. So wanted to start digging. Lots of eye candy in there. Those ladders…hmmm. There is another backyard next door filled plus both of the interiors of the two homes needed to be cleared. For now it’s onto Friday. We will cross our fingers and hope. Again, I will try to give you some “live” footage if it happens. In the meantime, I have a funny story to share with you.
Take a peek with me. Do you see anything you want?
Now I can’t wait until Friday but let’s get on to the story about the one, actually the two, that got away. Remember these two cabinets that I hesitated on and lost? Well…
After I left the estate sale, I drove over to a garage sale a few blocks away. As I approached the owner, I noticed that he seemed oddly familiar. Couldn’t remember exactly where I had seen him but…as I went into the carport, the bells went off. Look what I spied! For real! Recognize them?
He bought them for $25.00 each and was now selling them for $120.00, and one had already sold. Still a great price. Hesitated again but this time, I was o.k. with it. Such a funny little story. Made me chuckle a bit as I got back into my car and drove away. Honestly, you can’t make this stuff up. And you know what? This stuff, yea, you can’t buy it anywhere. I love all the interesting quirks to garage saling. Best fun I have had in awhile. Can’t wait for Friday to roll around again!
