A Girl, Some Organization and a Cabinet

23 Oct

So this junker girl got a mighty fine treasure this weekend and boy has she been busy loading and organizing it! I have wanted a cabinet like this for quite a while and I feel like I won the lottery, well, not really, but close…sort of. 🙂  This 5 foot beauty cost me a mere $100.00.  It has 45, yes I said FORTY-FIVE awesome, amazing drawers. It is ALL wood, every drawer works and slides as smooth as butter.  (It looks like metal though, yes?) The best part was it came with two surprise drawers!  Scroll down to see my pics.  The entire unit was a tad bit dirty as it was used in the garage as a tool chest but hey, with a little bit of soda, salt, water and an old sock, it cleaned up nearly good as new! I almost missed getting it because I passed on it the first day, hoping for a lower price on the second day. Lucky for me, it was still there the second day. That is not always the case.  Anyway, take a peek…

Still working on redoing the drawer names but I’ll get there. Here was my biggest surprise! I didn’t know until I got home that this drawer was there and that it held the mini inks perfectly! Sweet!

And then there was this one divided drawer…as if it knew I needed it!

The rest were perfect too! Can anyone ever have too many of Seth’s  and Emerald Creek embossing powders?

And like these, they are my fav paints! I will clear a drawer if I get more PaperArtsy paints! Swooning over the colors and chalky base. Did I mention I was messy? Don’t judge me by my jars.

And I am a big fan of vintage stamen and flowers. Big. Like the larger vintage flowers I own can’t fit in here but I put the small in.

Lots of doo dahs…and sequins. Some very old, some quite new. All loved.

Paints

And the supplies go on and on. Needless to say, I have been purging my art/craft room for days. I will get a grip on this. No more collecting. I am full up. Oh hey, Thursday there’s a fabulous estate sale in Villa Park, Ca. Want to go? 🙂

XO,

Debi
