A Blog Hop with Ellen Hutson Celebrating 45 Years of Hero Arts®

22 Jun

What better way to start a Saturday than with a Blog Hop, Giveaway and celebration of Hero Arts 45th anniversary by Ellen Hutson!  Love how this industry gets to work and celebrate with each other. Thrilled to be able to showcase some of the wonderful products that Hero Art  produces AND Ellen Hutson sells! Since this is a Blog Hop, you will want to make sure you scroll all the way to the bottom of this post to view all our incredible designers and see how to enter the ***GIVEAWAY***. Up today is one of my favorite fancy dies called  “Flower Garden”. I love card front dies. They are quick and easy and take out a lot of the guess work.  Since I am also a wedding florist on weekends, I decided to feature the ever-so-popular, trendy wedding colors of blush and gold using this die.   I had planned on making ONE card for this hop but this design was so fab, I couldn’t stop. Do you ever get like that too? Although this die image could be made to look casual and carefree, I made it a bit more classy and elegant. Nice when designs lend themselves to versatility. This little cutie used only a portion of the die, and was actually a leftover from one of the above designs.  Nothing needs to go to waste. Here is the entire Fancy Die, cut from the same cardstock as the card itself and then cut from gold poster board, layered together, and adhered to the base. Just a little embossing with Flower Garden using an embossing pad and embossing folder instead of cutting plates. The side front was trimmed down a bit to allow for the layered, die-cut edging. A little bit of fancy down the center never hurt anyone. 🙂 And don’t forget it’s not all about cards. This makes a great party favor too! No matter how you stack these up, I think this Flower Garden Die is FABULOUS! (And the sentiments too!) Next up on the hop is Michelle Ferguson. Can’t wait to see what’s on her play room table. XO, Debi If you are interested in any of the wonderful products I featured above, just click the link below.  Please note that I am part of an Affiliate Program which means I get a portion of the sale of these products but that fee is not passed on to you, the consumer.

Ready to move on?  Here’s the entire blog hop list.  Feel free to catch up or jump around. Just remember to leave a comment on each blog to be entered to win one of THREE giveaways!
