New Tim Holtz Thinlits for November 2020

15 Nov

Oh hey friends! Been doing some creating as usual and I couldn’t wait to show you these NEW “Distinguished” Thinlits by Tim Holtz for November 2020! Such a great collection and really, you get to decide how you want to work them. As many of you know, I am a big die-cutter, having worked for some big manufacturers over the past 15 years. There are so many ways to play with dies and these new thinlits are no exception! So today, I took the hats and made them both for guys and gals so that you can see all the possibilities. I did not have the coordinating Distinguished stamp set by Stamper’s Anonymous, which really goes to show you that, with or without them, they are FABULOUS.

Here’s one for the guy…

Lots of layering of papers and embossed images for the background, bits of idea-ology ephemera and lots of the new die-cut images, embellished with distress and oxide inks with details from Copic Markers and fine permanent pen.

There are 14 different thinlits in this set, limited only by your imagination! I love adding stitching here and so there’s that too!

And let’s hear it for the gals…

A bit of Mary Poppins I suppose now that I look at it, but honestly, this concept came from more of the vintage 1950’s cards era, with their vellum fronts and frilly edges and soft colors. Again, I used oxide inks, Copic Markers and a fine tip, permanent marker.

I say, if you can think it, you can do it! Just changing the colors, adding some of Tim’s Vines & Roses stamp and idea-ology Bouquet flowers and ta-dah! Super sweet and versatile!

So, what say you? Have a favorite? Not an arty artist? Give the coordinating stamps a look. Makes it that much easier to create. I have to say, this is another great collection. Time to head back to the creation station.

Thanks for stopping in!

XO,

Debi

I LOVE IT! Talk about “outside the box thinking”. You win the prize! I just adore these cards but that sweet old-fashioned young lady card is to die for. I especially like the straw hats with the bows, the hat with military flowers and veil. But the winner is the collar with the cameo. SERIOUSLY??!!! YOU ARE AMAZING!

I love coming to see your creations, but have trouble reading your text with the pale grey font that you use…the eyes are not what they used to be…like everything else…LOL…

I love this. I loves it when I saw it on Tim’s demo. I have the stamp/die set coming and will be using your artistic abilities for inspiration. Thank you so much showing us another way to use our dies.
