December 2020 has finally arrived and with it the My Monthly Hero Kit by Hero Arts! Today I’m thrilled to give a little sneak peek into what’s in store on Monday, December 7th, the official day of the launch. I want to give a shout out to one of my readers for shooting me a note about wanting and wondering where the word “HOPE” was, back when we launched the Christmas ornament collection. Well, here you go friend! The powers that be heard us! And here’s “hoping” for a good end of 2020 and a GREAT start to a new year.
This card was actually easy to create. I die-cut and adhered the word “hope” several times to a piece of Dove White 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ cardstock in different directions, then I cut the cloud window die from the center.
The largest cloud cling background was stamped onto a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ top folded card base in the ***NEW*** Early Dawn Reactive Ink Cube. The smaller clouds were then inked with Lemon Drop and Creamsicle Reactive Inks. I used a blending tool to add more of the Lemon Drop ink to the bottom of the clouds. I placed my embellished card front with cloud window scene over the top of the cloud background and adhered it in place with foam dots.
Now all that was left to do was to die-cut the word “Hope” again. I cut three of them out, two in Dove White cardstock and one in gold poster board. I placed the white Hope down first and then placed the gold one down next. I embellished the last “Hope” with Lemon Drop and Creamsicle ink and the adhered it to the gold word, laying it slightly off center so the gold paper could show. And, done! As sure as the sun rises, there is HOPE.
Well I think this new launch is perfectly titled, “Hope and New Beginnings”. What do you say?
