Well it’s about time for the My Monthly Hero Kit sneak peek for June 2021. It’s always nice to see what’s swirling around in the minds of the Hero Arts artists. They are such a talented crew. Honestly there is so much cuteness overload in this new release that I couldn’t stop creating. What’s really interesting is that I don’t own a single pet but love all of the animal-inspired images as well as the birthday designs. (And hey, I guess cleaning stamps is much better than cleaning up after pets, right? Lol.) Anyway, here is my take on this collection.
I tried to come up with something a little bit different since I have made several cards from the kit already and when I saw one of those chalkboard signs, I thought I might be onto something. Outside of the dog, I stamped all the images onto Pitch Black cardstock using Unicorn Pigment ink and then die-cut them all out, except for the balloons. (It was stamped on the front of a 4″ x 5 1/4″ black cardstock front.) The coloring was done with colored chalk markers. So vibrant, fun and unique!
I added a bit of actual chalk to the images (see cake) and hand-designed the strip at the bottom of the card. The dog (oh, so cute!) was stamped onto Dove White cardstock using Intense Black ink, die cut and adhered to the front of the card using foam dots. A stamped sentiment using the colored chalk markers completed the card.
