My Monthly Hero Release for May, Blog Hop & Giveaway

4 May

Hi friends! Time for another My Monthly Hero Release for May with a blog hop and a **GIVEAWAY**. It’s also time to turn on a bit of the sunshine, bring out some rainbows and share some happy thoughts and you know, I’m pretty sure that was what Hero Arts had in mind when they came up with this entire collection. So many fabulous images that it will be hard to decide which one you need first. (All items are available for purchase at the bottom of this post.) So let’s start with a project from the actual kit.

How fun are those designs? Gah!! I’m going to be playing for awhile!

So here is everything you will get in this amazing kit:

Kit includes:

6″ x 8″ Clear Stamp Set

7 Coordinating Frame Cuts,

7 Envelope Art Icon Fancy Dies

3 Karin DecoBrush Metallic Markers (Gold, Pink & Blue)

5 White A7 Envelopes

5 White A2 Envelopes

Kit Value is $79.99, Kit Cost is $34.99. As always, this Main Kit is only available while supplies last. Once it’s gone, it is not replenished. Add-ons will continue to be restocked however. Interested in a kit subscription so that you will never miss out on these wonderful monthly collections? Check out the Subscription icon at the end of this post.

PLEASE NOTE: Hero Arts remains closed due to the shelter-in-place order. We have only limited capabilities at this time. Currently we estimate that shipping will begin on May 15, and continue until all boxes have shipped. We are so appreciative that so many have continued to order despite knowing we have long delays. Thank you for your patience, support, and kind wishes. It means the world to us, and we send love and appreciation your way.

So here’s a few items I created using this kit. Not certain why I felt this collection screamed Retro 60’s to me, but I ran with it. I love that era! Lots of different ways to color and create with these images. I wanted happy and bright pastels. I used Copic markers for coloring the images. Super easy card, btw.

And of course, no card is complete without the envelope. I had to decorate the back and the front because these images were just adorable!

Sometimes the smallest details make a difference. I love adding light gray shading to the designs. It makes them appear dimensional.

And for those of you who might have missed the sneak peek image from HA, here is what I created using the plane and clouds. The word “you” was cut from one of the sentiments.

The background was created with Blue Hawaii and Pool Party Reactive Inks using a blending tool and spritzed with water.

Since I showcased several cards from the Main Kit, I thought I might throw in a card from the add-ons because the designs are just as nice! I will be posting more in the coming days on instagram. Hope you will follow me there! (And if you don’t already follow me here, think of clicking on the subscribe box.) This is a really sweet Heart Tree Stamp and Die-cut. So many ways to work this one. I hope to get another one up this week. I’m thinking classic and gold!

Well there you have the Main Kit release and one new add-on set. More to come! If you are continuing with the blog hop, next up is Heather Nichols. I am certain she has some amazing cards to share! And, don’t forget to enter the Giveaway.

We will give away one $50 gift card, drawn from the comments left across the hop. Enter by Sunday, May 10th at 11:59pm pacific, and the winner will be announced on the Hero Arts blog the following week.

XO,

Debi

I thought I was the only one being transported back to the 60s by this set. 🙂 Great projects! Great color choices, too. My favorite card is the last one with the tree of hearts. While that set is great to use year round I think I’ve found the perfect things for next years Valentines’ Day cards. Thank for sharing!

You’re right! I do get a ’60s vibe with this stamp set! It’s also features a great collection of happy-feeling images, and your cards showcase that well! Another plus is the fact that it encourages the decoration of envelopes. Your cards and envelopes are lovely — OMG, that snail is adorable! You didn’t go into detail regarding the “hot air balloon” postcard shown in your first photo, but I really liked that one, too.
